Project Presentation
The client for this LA office is a successful commercial and education architecture firm based in New York City. The firm has an extensive client base in the Los Angeles area and was looking to open a second office to better serve its western markets. This project and its core concepts were heavily impacted by the Coronavirus pandemic with the challenges of designing for an uncertain future.
At the core of the design concept for this architectural studio space is a personalized work experience. To promote work efficiency, a variety of private and group workspaces will be provided outside of the open office environment. Adjustable furniture, movable privacy glass, customizable lighting schemes and more are some of the additional personalization options that will be designed into these spaces. This allows for each employee to explore the different options given, and create a customized work experience that fits their needs and level of comfortability.
To create a comfortable and inviting atmosphere, a neutral color palette is accented with muted soft colors like forest green, navy blue, and coral. A combination of light maple wood, concrete, and terazzo creates a subtle backstory for the accent colors to pop off of.
